Den of Iniquity Los Angeles Sex Club Review

INTRODUCTION:

A good dominatrix doesn't just spank, but know exactly why they're spanking and what it's going to do the spankee. It doesn't take much to add a bit light BDSM to the bedroom, with you and your partner maybe adding a blindfold or some ice cubes to your usual activities, but that's still a long way to go before you realize just how much more extensive and serious this lifestyle can be (with the ultimate purpose of creating pleasure, it should be stressed).

An excellent introduction (and a learning curve as steep as you want it to be) can be found at mysterious, almost tastefully named venue, the Den of Iniquity. It is a wonderful, sex-positive location that specializes in female dominatrixes, not only in terms of being able to book sessions with them if you've been 'bad', but also training women as well. On top of that, they even teach about the overall dominatrix lifestyle as well, in an environment that is just as much educational as it is playful.

ABOUT:

One of the first things you notice when you are given the initial tour of the Den of Iniquity by one of the dominatrixes (or doms, for short), is how much the space was designed for them. Most sex clubs are designed with the customers in mind, and the owners - even if they like to participate to some degree - are still following whatever sort of trend that would appease all the paying members. Here, the main space as well as all the corners and crannies are full of pristine and shining furniture, equipment, props and supplies. An area that looks like a doctor's office? Check. A St Andrew's cross? You bet? A bench with a cage underneath? Sure. But the doms who run the Den of Iniquity added all this over time because it would please them first, and only by doing that will the service they provide be of the superior quality that would bring people in.

This makes learning here that much more exciting, engaging and sexy. While it's easy to be overwhelmed at the setup here, the doms are very friendly an engaging, explaining the psychology and philosophy behind BDSM, as well as the basic approach to communication (both verbally and through body language) between the master and slave. By doing it this way, you can learn a lot before even taking part in your first scene, and the more you know, the more relaxed you are, and the more fun you're ultimately going to have. Whether this means starting to attend one-on-one sessions throughout the week (that you book with the dom), or going to the occasionally social events where there are many, many BDSM fans with different kinks and fetishes, the Den of Iniquity will always treat you right (even if it feels wrong at the moment).

CONCLUSION:

Den of Iniquity provides a completely different experience for people who are looking to expand their horizons sexually. And not simply in the sense of being in an open relationship and finding new people to have sex with. There are plenty of great clubs across Los Angeles which can offer that. Some of these clubs even have some BDSM-themed nights throughout the week, so yes, you can actually hook up with people in leather gear.

But Den of Iniquity offers a much richer and complex experience because beyond the education classes, the sessions you can with the doms are unlike anything you could have really imagined. While wearing a mask and a chain and crawling around the floor (or even being burned with hot wax) is certainly not the ultimate goal for everyone, you owe it to yourself to take a peek at this world in a safe and friendly environment, and there's no better place for that than here.

Pros
  • The difference between the Den of Iniquity and other sex clubs - even other BDSM-focused sex clubs - is that they are proverbially hands on, which can lead to them being literally hands slapping you across your face. It is actually a great bit of theatre, watching a dom go from a smiling educator of how to talk to your 'slave', to suddenly frowning and thunderously demanding that someone get on their knees. You really come to appreciate the level of performance that is required. It definitely helps that the event space is so well designed and full of a lot of gear and equipment that really adds to the atmosphere and realism of the scene.

The education aspect is much more than the correct way to hold a paddle. There are a lot of excellent classes that get into the psychology behind why people seek out a BDSM lifestyle. And this isn't done to try to 'cure' people from it, but to make them more understanding and accepting about this important aspect of their life. While I approached this from the perspective of someone who prefers open relationships and was certainly interested in some consensual rough play, I definitely learned a lot about the science of sex in general. It wasn't the same experience as going to a sex club, but this unique experience is what sets the Den of Iniquity apart.

It's strange that while I expected to learn something the relationship between master and slave being dehumanizing, you come a way with new appreciation for how this is just another form of deep connection between two people. Even when there is no obvious and traditional sex acts involved, it is still a deeply intimate and erotic experience (both to watch and take part in).

Cons
  • It's important to know that for all the wonderful and varied education classes the Den of Iniquity provides, as well as incredibly intense private sessions, it is not strictly a sex club. Sometimes you and your partner can have a joint session with a dom, and sometimes you can meet some amazing people at one of their Friday or Saturday night social events, but if your goal is to swing and to actually engage in some sexual activity with some strangers, this is not exactly the place to go.

While not exactly a negative, one thing you learn early on in the world of BDSM (especially in a strict master-slave role-play) is that sexual acts (intercourse, oral) are very rarely part of the scene. The actual actions are meant to excite the dom and subject(s), but 'getting off' is rarely done through traditional means. All of this to say that coming here with an open mind about learning, rather than a one track mind of getting some action, is much more important, although the lack of the latter might disappoint some people.
