New England Couples Club Boston Sex Club Review

INTRODUCTION:

After one failed long term relationship because my partner and I's sexual chemistry hit a brick wall, I took a long look at myself and realize that my problem was that I didn't want just one partner. I never told them how often i fantasized about other people, whether those I worked with, or even someone I just happened to glance at on the street. And for too long I thought that I would never be able to have a normal relationship, because the desire to get intimate with someone else was always there.

Now I've obviously heard about swinging and open relationships, but i wasn't sure if I could do that, either. From what I could tell looking online, I still had to go to a sex club that was like a crazy big nightclub have to dance and flirt and all those things I've been terrible at (and didn't like doing) all this time. So I was surprised and thrilled to find that there also some much more low-key swinger communities where it's more likely you'll be hanging around a barbecue than a dance floor. It was the New England Couples Club, and for a lot of people, it'll be the best thing ever.

ABOUT:

While it's definitely a swingers clubs, the New England Couples Club is a lot different from any of the other sex clubs I've ever briefly checked out. Most of these places are actual clubs that are run like bars or concert venues, where you pay cover, buy drinks at the bar (or bring booze with you), dance with random people, and then you can go into the back area and get intimate with them. And to be honest, I was only interested in the very last part, because I've never been a club person. And New England Couples Club is perfect for that, because events pretty much take place only a members' houses, a rented hotel room suite, or a cabin or cottage (depending on the time of year).

It's much more down-to-earth and approachable than from anything else I've ever tried. Even the design of the website shows how much they would rather get to meet you in person, or at least over the phone, since that's how you become a member. Only then are you invited to the orientation night, just to see if you'd get along with the other members, and then it's a matter of attending the parties. Even member fees are nearly non-existent, and you only really pay to help get a event set up. Actually spending a bit of time in someone's backyard with a drink while my partner chats it up inside is a much more relaxing scenario for both of us than having to get dressed up to go to a club. And when you're relaxed, you're that much more excited when the evening gets more intimate and sexy, so that when it's time to actually trade partners, you're more than ready to go.

FEATURES:

-a low-key swingers club based mainly in Boston area and beyond (from northern Rhode Island to southern Maine)

-they prefer phone interviews regarding membership, rather than an online email inquiry

-if you've always wanted to host a swinger's night, here's your chance, as the club administrators are willing to help you organize one

-they occasionally host orientation nights for newcomers

-at certain house party locations, there are enough rooms for over twelve couples, along with several hot tubs

-parties are couples and women only, with the occasional 'Ladies Choice' and 'Barely Legal Dance Parties' events also open to single men

-to be put on the guest list, you simply call the organizers

-by meeting in houses, simple things like bring food or other party accessories is a great way to contribute

CONCLUSION:

If you spent any time online looking up sex clubs because you've accepted that an open relationship is the right step for you and your partner, you'll be forgiven for thinking that you have to be jet-set partiers who love hitting the town every weekend to be able to meet another fun couple. Thankfully it's not the case, as there are many people out there who love the swinging but don't care for that sort of socializing. For them (and for me and my partner), there's the New England Couples Club.

It's a great organization for people who want to have just as much exciting bedroom fun…in an actual bedroom, not some strange room in the back or basement of a building downtown. It's a wonderful chance to be able to look at your prospective partners in the face with a decent amount of light, since you're not in a dimly lit club. If you want to bring the swinging to the suburbs, then the New England Couples Club is for you.

Pros
  • While it's not exactly true that since the rise of the internet that sex clubs have 'gone corporate', New England Couples Club can definitely show a much more approachable and down-to-earth swinging experience. While so many other sex clubs are making you buy membership online, essentially turning the process over to a computer program, you actually call up the people who run the club (the website makes a point of saying not to text) and the application process is that very phone interview.

I really love the fact that most of these events take place at people's houses, or even at a rented hotel room or cottage. It's that other kind of intimacy and coziness that I know isn't for everybody, but I - and everyone else in the group - are much more comfortable here than if we were lining up outside an actual sex club venue. And we can still have all the fun, like costume parties and theme events throughout the year.

By being a much smaller and insular club, it's a lot easier to bend some attendance rules. While they state plainly that their organization is only open to couples and single women, there's also a 'splinter group' that occasionally allows single men to also attend, depending on who is already on the guest list. There are also opportunities to attend some of the Friday night dance events if they are willing to host an after party in a nearby hotel room.

Cons
  • The name alone gives off a rather exclusive vibe, so if you're just visiting the Boston area alone or with your partner and are looking for some open relationship fun, you might want to look elsewhere. There's definitely more of a locals only feeling when it comes to this club.

This feeling of exclusivity (or at least old-fashioned way of doing things) extends even to how you join the group and learn more about it. While they do have a website, it was clearly designed many years ago (although regularly updated), and doesn't provide that much information. In fact, they stress how instead of emailing them any questions, that you simply call them. None of this will necessarily endear the New England Couples Club to anyone who are overly reliant on the internet.

For some, going to a stranger's house to meet people you've never met before (and maybe/probably get intimate with them) might be a lot more uncomfortable than going to an actual sex club or hotel room suite. Meeting people - in their house, no less - in this fashion might also be the opposite of what you were looking for you in your swinging lifestyle, as plenty of anonymity is lost once you start having to know other members' phone numbers and addresses. For some, it might be a natural extension of getting to know people like this, but for others, it might be quite invasive.
