INTRODUCTION:

It was kind of easy to know that the swinger lifestyle is right for you, but figuring out how to become part of it is a bit harder. And I don't just mean checking websites, because that's easy, too. There was absolutely no pressure at all the entire time I was there, it was so easy to just lose yourself in the music and have a great time, and if you finally did make eyes with someone across the dance floor, you could just take it at your own pace before heading upstairs to turn it into something more.

Some sex clubs can bog you down with an ethos, a mission or a complete history of how it wants to change the swinging lifestyle forever. While a lot of other places in Houston might be thinking about how to best expand their brand, Choices Swingers Club would rather just focus on what swingers are looking for in the first place: An easy to find and fun club where you can dance downstairs and then get a whole dirtier on the second floor.

The layout to the club is pretty simple. As soon as you pay your one time membership fee and then the door fee for that particular night, you're welcomed into the club section, which has a big dance floor and pumping sound system, playing the latest hits from a DJ booth. The club definitely has an old-school vibe to it, right down the stripper poles and the decor. It harkens back to a time of 70s-style swinging, and it even features a jacuzzi and group shower area. The second floor is where the action really gets cranked up to eleven. After you've met some awesome people while dancing, you can head upstairs to the lounge and private rooms, where the clothes and inhibitions just seem to melt away. And if you've really got a kinkier side, they have some BDSM equipment that you can take advantage of.

FEATURES:

-easy to reach location, just west of downtown Houston, just off I-69 (wink)

-dress code is enforced, typically described as 'nightclub ready' or 'dressed to impress' (only exception being dressed up in costume for various theme nights)

-it has extended hours on weekends, open until 5AM

-new members have to pay a one time $10 membership fee, but after that it's always pay at the door

-Thursday nights it's $30 for a couple, $40 for single men, and free for single women

-Friday and Saturday it's $40 for a couple, $60 for select single men, and free for single women ($10 after 11pm)

-reservations for a section or table are available, just like a real nightclub

-the club does not serve alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks (BYOB)

-huge dance floor with a live DJ playing top 40 hits and some other sexy classic mixes

-stage has stripper poles

-in the upstairs 'full contact play' area, there are several play rooms (the club also features a jacuzzi and group showers)

-like a lot of sex clubs, Thursday night is more of a 'meet and greet' for people who are new to either the swinging lifestyle of the club itself

-Friday and Saturday are where it kicks up a notch, with several themed adult play parties

-large televisions play erotic films throughout the night to get you in the mood

-there is a full onsite adult boutique, where you can buy all sorts toys (whips, handcuffs, vibrators, nipple clamps), apparel (lingerie, stockings, bodysuits) and accessories (condoms, lube) that you can use right away or bring home for later use

CONCLUSION:

While it's great to see the swinging lifestyle take Houston by storm, since the community is a lot bigger than I ever thought it could be, with plenty of clubs catering to it, I still find myself coming back to Choices Swingers Club, because it just adds a little bit more to the experience. The club-front, sexy-back set up will be familiar to sex club veterans, but what sets this place apart is how it keeps rocking long after other bars and clubs have closed down for the night. That means the wild partiers who never want to stop rocking will flock here nice and late, and soon it becomes the sexiest party in the entire city.

I've been in open relationships and have a great time at Choices Swingers Club, and I've even flown solo there and had just as good of a time. The kind and courteous staff make you feel like a million bucks, but the reasonable cover charge means you don't have to spend it to have one of the best nights of your life.
