CONCLUSION:

Trying to explain why I love going to the Academy Of Fetish Arts is difficult without sounding like I am a sort of fangirl that has found one place where she belongs, but really it's because I have become a fan of the place and I feel like I belong when I go there which is something not many sex clubs can claim about me. I am a bit odd around the edges and I like that the place requires you to show up in regular clothes that you can then change out of once inside so that the premises look harmless from the outside. Once inside, it becomes a greatly sensual and sexy place to come play your heart out and enjoy your preferred fetish. I am a fan of that, but also of the fact that they keep members' information very private and make sure to run everyone through the sex offender registry to avoid having any problems. Those things with the way they demand and enforce rules about consent, clear and educated consent, are great ways to make members feel safe within their sex club. I know I feel like I belong and like nothing bad will happen to me even though some pain may happen upon request.   • When visiting Academy Of Fetish Arts, I know I will have a great time. If I feel like watching a couple play, I can ask them and see if they are into it. If I feel like a bit of BDSM (I have my own preferences that I won't go into detail as it would probably give my well-guarded-by-the-club identity away), I can go for that. If I feel like trying something new, I can find someone willing to show and teach me. It's easy to come here as a new member without much fetish experience and make the most of the time spent here with great people willing to both play with me and teach me. I did that at first and now I'm ready to start teaching a bit myself. Of course, given my preferences, teaching might not be my best option if you know what I mean. The Academy is filled with safe people as they use the USDOJ National Registered Sexual Offender list to filter out bad elements and just in case someone is not registered or just a bit off, anyone not respecting consent and safe words gets removed as soon as possible and gets banned from the club. This is something both the Academy and the members take very seriously so it's a pretty much risk-free experience here. The Academy also offers classes for beginners to advanced members to learn more or get a refresher, something I've greatly enjoyed. Learning is very important in the fetish community, almost as important as consent and understanding that everyone is different and has different limits.

  • The one thing about the Academy Of Fetish Arts that bugs me a little bit is their website. I know, it's nitpicky as can be and honestly not that big of an issue, but their site looks a bit old and a little bit overly simplified. I realize that a snazzy site is not needed here as the information is all there and easily accessible, but it's not as pretty as I would like it to be. For me, visuals are really important and the design here feels a bit rudimentary. That being said, the important things are all there from the location of the Academy to the events it hosts to the rules which must be respected. They even have an email that is clearly indicated in case any question or comment needs to be send their way and they have a quick response time. The site may be simple and not particularly sexy, it still contains all the information needed and then some, so it serves its purpose. The club itself is not as simple and a lot sexier, so it's not like the site is the end of things if you don't like its look. I don't like the look of the site, but the look of the sex club is fantastic and it makes me want to be there, comfortable, playing with a great partner. I have had great fun at the Academy and met fantastic people so I cannot judge it too harshly for having a website that looks a bit old with a lack of images and a lack of sensuality to it.
