INTRODUCTION:

While Club Debauchery isn't exclusively a swinger club, there are definitely a lot of swingers attending their events in my limited experience going there so far, which has been extremely exciting.

I've always been interested in the concept of sex clubs more than I've been interested in actually going to them. For some reason the excitement that I had about going to a sex club and having sex with either strangers, or with my partner while others watched, faded when I got to the actual club. The fantasy became too much of a reality, and it wasn't as exciting to me anymore.

There are lots of design elements that you'll see at a sex club, that allows you to know that you're not in a space that cost quite as much as it should have, and when that realization happens during a sexual fantasy, it's a bit of a rude awakening. A bit of a bucket of cold water being thrown in your face.

With a space like Club Debauchery, there's an extra layer of fantasy involved in every scenario, so maintaining excitement during the moments where I noticed the poorly painted walls, or a lightbulb that was flickering, was a lot easier for me.

Club Debauchery describes itself as "a gender inclusive, kink, BDSM and swinger-friendly sex club available to experienced lifestyle community members and curious beginners." I think that sums it up quite well.

I'm certainly not terribly well experienced when it comes to BDSM, but there are varying levels of it on display at Club Debauchery.

The club is filled with themed rooms like a boudoir, medical spa, a group shower, a suspension room (which I think I'm not quite ready for yet), and of course a full-on dungeon for members interested in extreme BDSM.

Because of the things that happen at Club Debauchery, it's of course a private club that requires a membership. You can buy a basic membership for only $40, or a more expensive partner membership which allows you to have more say in the business operations, and gives you a discount on renting the space for if you decide you want to make a film ,or a music video, or even just throw your own private sex party for you and your closest (and kinkiest friends). That membership will set you back a cool $100.

The club has a great diversity of events, but also hosts free membership information sessions for people who are curious about the community, and in joining the club.

As mentioned, venue rentals are available for members, and lots of members seem to celebrate their birthdays just with a regular birthday party in one of the club's themed rooms.

-Friday and Saturdays, and available for private bookings between Sunday and Thursday

-Special events are hosted frequently, so be sure to check in on the event calendar often

-Follow the club on Instagram for great photos of the space, and edited event photos

-Once a month, the club holds their famous Open Play Party which brings all of its communities together for a wild night of sex that has no boundaries except for consent

-Local photographer Sarah Stewart offers frequent boudoir photo sessions at the club in any of its themed room, if you're looking for a special and sexy gift idea for your partner

-Parking is available in the rear of the building (which is required due to the club's location)

CONCLUSION:

So far I've had an absolute blast playing at Club Debauchery.

There isn't anything else quite like it in the Ottawa area, and it's a treat to see such lovely people running a mom and pop sex club with such community-driven ideals. Sex is often considered too much of an industry to even be enjoyed when you enter some sex club spaces. The love and affection that's usually connected to sex is removed, and it becomes a sex for money situation, not all that dissimilar from going to a shitty bar and drinking too much by yourself.

The community element of Club Debauchery is heartwarming, and I really wish that there were more Ottawa sex clubs out there more like it.

What can I say that I haven't already mentioned? This is truly a gem of a sex club. There are so many different types of rooms, that are all so exquisitely decorated. When you visit Club Debauchery, you're taken to other worlds, and it makes it so much easier to get out of your own head, and instead put yourself inside the character of someone you're not.
  
The variety of the spaces is something that's sure to keep me coming back to the club as well. While I think I'm going to be going to the dungeon room more often than not, the other rooms offer wonderful escapes from the humdrum day to day office work and condo living existence that I think so many of us live every day. That's not to say that I don't like my condo, but having sex in a fancy boudoir is certainly a little bit more exciting.
  
The owners and community stakeholders in the club are wonderful people from my limited experience so far. So much so that I might upgrade my membership to a Partner level, and get some say in the way the business is run.
  
The number of rentals for photo shoots is interesting to think about considering how tame they are, compared the sex that happens in the same rooms just hours before.
  
Club Debauchery is a truly special place.

Cons

I really don't have much bad to say about the club. It's run by a group of truly motivated and kind people, who have made an effort at every turn to make sure that the gift of adventurous and fantastical sex is available to everyone at a reasonable cost. There are other clubs in the world who offer similar services for at least three times the cost of a Club Debauchery membership and cover fee.
  
The venue rentals surely pay for a large part of that, so my biggest issue with the club isn't one that makes financial sense. I'm selfish though, and really wish it was open more days of the week.
  
I've found myself really wanting to have a dungeon session on days they're closed recently, but I don't have the money currently to rent the rooms for private events either. So it's an interesting balance.
  
The information sessions for prospective members are a great idea, but they also potentially put the privacy of the space at risk by allowing people who might not be actually interested in the club, to come into the space and examine the space (and its partner members). Perhaps that's just me being paranoid though. I've been accused of that in the past.
  
The only other issue that I can maybe say is a con is the fact that there doesn't seem to be much room for the space to grow at all, so it would be nice if there was perhaps a more frequent rotation of the the different themes n the rooms.
