Pros

It is really tough to love a country that doesn't accept you but here we are. I'm proud to be gay but I also love visiting the beautiful country of Nigeria. I have met some incredible people in this country who are also gay like me. And it's only because of NaijaLez.com that we are able to get to know each other and meet. That is probably one of the best and most important things about this website. A lot of forums are great for connecting lesbians or offering advice but not that many can say that they save lives and keep people safe. Sure that is a lot of pressure to put on a website but it's true!

Another great thing about the site is how helpful the moderators are. They work really hard to keep all of the lesbian and bi community informed and up to date. They also work hard to make sure that everyone is using the site properly and staying as safe as possible. And most importantly: they manage to keep everything fun and still sexy! Yes, that may seem like a tough task, especially because I've been talking about a lot of serious stuff in this review, but somehow these moderators do it. NaijaLez.com is definitely one of the most fun lesbian dating forums I've ever been a part of and that's definitely because of the great moderators and members. But hey, after all sometimes all you can do is find laughter and joy in the face of adversary.

Cons

The cons I have with the site definitely have more to do with the nature of why there are restrictions in place rather than the restrictions themselves. For example, it's very hard to become a member. Of course this is super important so that all of the current members can stay safe and projected from the government but I think we can all admit that we've been spoiled by and enjoy the sites that we can join immediately with no wait time at all.

It's also difficult to video chat via NaijaLez.com. This is partially for security reasons but also because the site just doesn't support it. There are many dating forums that don't support video chat, though, so this isn't anything new. If I'm waiting to video call another member, I usually just use WhatsApp or some other kind of app.

It can also be a little bit challenging to get recommendations for clubs and restaurants and what not in the forums. This is because the lesbian community wants to keep them as hidden and discreet as possible. They are definitely possible to find but you just have to ask around and have private chats with local members.

Again, none of this is terrible and it's all for a good reason.
