Oh wow, there are so many pros about this site it's hard to know where to start! But I guess I'll list the top three things that make AfterEllen.com one of the best lesbian dating forums, in my opinion.

First, the forums are super active. Some dating forums only ever have a few people posting in them and it gets pretty boring very quickly. AfterEllen.com is super active and full of all kinds of people. Some are looking for love, some are looking for hookups, and some are just looking to chat or for advice. Because there are so many kinds of lesbians and bi women on the site, it's easy for you to also find exactly what you are looking for. When I first joined, I needed all the help I could get so I lived in the advice forums and asked loads of questions. Now I use the site more for entertainment and the occasional date. But no matter what I am looking for, I can find it on AfterEllen.com's extensive forums.

The second thing would be that there are a lot of members. Like millions! And because there are so many members, it's pretty easy to find people in your area if you are wanting to have an in-person date or just hookup. I'm not even from the biggest town and I actually found my first girlfriend from the AfterEllen.com forums.

It's been sad to see and it's something that a lot of the long-time forum members do discuss in private a lot. The forums themselves don't get overly TERFy and we all work hard to keep the site a safe place, but I think it's always important to know everything about a site before you sign up to come a member, especially on such a sensitive and important issue. I'm a lesbian and a supporter of the trans community and I still find a whole lot of value in the AfterEllen.com forums. I've met so many lovely women through the forums who have similar values so never fear: the forums are as welcoming and inclusive as ever!

The only other minor thing I would add is that I wish you could do video chat or livestreams through the site! I always end up chatting with my AfterEllen.com forum friends via other apps like WhatsApp or FaceTime but it would be super cool if that was already built into the site!
