As a member, you can rent lockers for a small fee too. The club does not accept anyone from gender X, which means transgenders would not be able to become members. That may soon change. I do recommend the Steam Sex Club to those looking for one of the best bathhouses in town!

Pros

When I visited the Steam Sex Club, I wasn't sure what I should look for. But, after I was there for several minutes, I realized that everyone was warm, welcoming and helpful. It made me feel more relaxed. The second time I went, it was as if this was the place that I should be to get my sexual mojo on. I really love the Steam Sex Club more than any other bathhouse in the city of Portland. There are various reasons that I do and it has more to do with the ambience, the staff, and the crowd, the opportunities for more sexual encounters and how it makes me feel. I like the fact that I can walk around in the nude or opt for a towel tied around my waist. The showers and hot tubs are available to anyone as long as you are a member. The bathhouse has a large outdoor section where members can be in the nude without being seen. There are many other areas where nudity is welcome. I love being nude and this works out for me. I feel like I am in my zone when I am nude and so that is another reason why I love this place. The private rooms are always clean and I do take advantage of it when I get to hook up with someone or visit with my partner. One of my favorite spot is the viewing area where a lot of hot men congregate for the sole purpose of hooking up. I encourage you to visit the Steam Sex Club so you get the opportunity to have some more sexual encounters and lots of fun!

Cons

It wouldn't be right for me to be saying so much nice things about Steam Sex Club and not talking about a few of the flaws that I was able to witness. One time, I unknowingly dropped a $50 bill and I learned later that a member picked it up and hid it. Someone showed me who it was and when I confronted the member, he did not want to give it back. In fact, he outright denied that it was true and even went as far as to say that even if he did take it, he still wouldn't give it up. I almost got into a squabble with him, but the staff was quick to diffuse it. The manager took us to the office and re-run the video camera and did see the member taking up the $50 and putting it in his pocket. So, he was forced to return the money to me or the manager threatened to take away his membership. I run into him from time to time, but I have since let all of that go. Maybe, the guy was really in need of the money. That is what I should have tried to find out. It might not be too late. Membership is huge and so on some days, the place is too crowded and so I select the days and time when it is less crowded. However, with 49,000 members, no wonder this bathhouse or gay sauna is so well visited. I also wasn't fund of the idea that there are no in and out privileges at the Steam Sex Club. However, I learned that many gay saunas have the same policy. So, I will just follow the rules.
