There was the fact that it didn't take me 20 minutes to get set up. Also, set up happens instantly. No waiting period. I signed up and had already logged on to the site to see what was going on. I also liked the fact that I could see the types of gay guys that were on there. I like twinks and the fact that there was a way to just find twink members really made me excited. I was pretty much finding twinks right away (and some of them were finding me) because I also mentioned it in my profile. I'm more comfortable using a hookup site where I can see what the guys look like and also that they actually get back to me. The whole time I was using this hookup site, I only had 2 missed messages and I was talking to three guys at once which I think is pretty damn good.

CONCLUSION

Manplay.com Is one of the best hookup site reviews that I've ever done. I rate sites by the amount of hookups I've found to give you an idea of my method. This site gets one of the highest ratings because I had 7 hookups from it and none of them were with the same guy. That's a personal best record for me. I want to keep that kind of momentum going so I'm going to take advantage of everything the site's got. The fact that it's personalized to what you want without making you answer a bunch of dumb questions helps make it better. I didn't feel like I was wasting my time or my money when I joined this site. Plus, I got a ton of hot hookups from it and I didn't have to go more than 50 miles. But it's still true that a hookup site is only as good as the person who uses it and if you don't put in the work and the time, you're not going to get anything from it but blue balls. The trick with this site that I figured out pretty much right away is that you have to be upfront with what you're looking for or you're going to get a lot of random guys talking to you. The guys are hot and they like when you're serious about what you want. It didn't get me long to get used to the site and jump right in.

Pros

  • There are a lot of things that I like about this site and things that I think anyone would appreciate. One of the things is that you can look through profiles based on location. You can use your zip code and the site will show you profiles from guys who live in your area. You get to put in the country, state and city for the profiles that you're looking for. That's perfect for guys like me who don't want to trek all over the States to actually meet up with the guys they're talking to in-person. There's no hassle when it comes to finding hookups because you can see every guy on the site who's in your city or neighborhood. You'll be able to compare the profiles without having to go looking all over the site for them. The search also lets you choose between finding another guy or finding a gay couple to hook up with. I'm actually going to be moving pretty soon and I wanted to see what profiles I could find for my new neighborhood and I found a ton of them. So you can expand your search to other places without having to make a new profile every time. You can also find guys who are into kink or who are interested in actually hooking up in-person vs. guys who just want to keep things online. There's just a lot of options for the types of guys you can find through Man Play.

Cons

  • The only way that you can reply to private messages and requests to chat is if you've got a paid subscription. This is pretty standard for all dating and hookup sites on the web. But I think it's worth it especially if you're using the site for hooking up regularly. You're not going to get anything if you're not willing to pay for it. I'm considering it a con because it would be better and would probably get more people if they gave you a limited amount of messages as a free member. Doesn't have to be a big number but I think it would definitely bring more people into trying out the site. Or, even giving them a free trial for 7 days so they get to see what the site is really like before they buy a subscription. This is just my personal opinion but I don't like the fact that you can get married guys mixed in when you're looking for single guys. It's just annoying and not what I'm into. I think that the married guys should have a separate section or a separate page on the site so that guys who actually want to find them can just go to that page and the rest of members don't need to see it. You can just search for singles or couples on the site but you need have a premium membership or you're going to see a lot of profiles that aren't going to interest you.
